![]() ![]() Explorers with billions in data routinely return to the power and distribute their data across multiple factions for the benefit of AD’s background simulation objectives. They can also be bounty hunting, warring in combat zones, running missions, or doing trade in key systems to support minor factions that are favorable to the Princess’ economy. Those can be Powerplay activities like fortifying AD Control Systems or Opposing the expansions of enemy powers. We all come together, sometimes with very different ideas of what the power represents, and collaborate toward achieving various goals. One way to think about the structure of AD is to think about it as a confederation of players and player groups: Squadrons, groups with in-game factions, independent commanders, etc. But, Powerplay is only one aspect of the Aisling Duval community and I thought I’d expend a few words on the many varied and interesting things her players bring to the table. It’s alive and kicking in a fun-yet-dysfunctional kind of way. My past few posts have been zoomed in on Aisling’s Powerplay efforts because I feel like explaining some of the “hidden” events going on just out of view helps players realize that Powerplay isn’t dead.
